Measurement Guide

Use your regular pant size as a guideline.

Active leggings should fit snug so you would use your regular pant size or wear one size down

Waist Size:

Measure around the smallest part of your waist. The measurement tape should be pulled snug and lay flat around the body.

Hip Size:

Measure around the widest part of your hips. The measuring tape should be pulled snug and lay flat around the body.

Inseam:

Start from the crotch and measure down to just under the ankle.

Leggings are made and fit differently brand to brand. Be sure to consult the size chart or never be afraid to ask questions!

Is It The Right Fit?

Best Test:

The band on the leggings should not feel like they’re slipping at any time during wear. To test slippage try various bends at the waist such as squatting, lifting the knees, or bending down to touch your toes.

Discomfort Test:

The leggings should not dig in or chafe anywhere. In general, leggings should fit snug but not too tight that it’s uncomfortable to breath. If you have troubles putting on/taking off your leggings, they’re too small.

Movement Test:

Check for access movement or resistance from the fabric by jumping, running, stretching in place etc. The leggings should easily move with your body.

Fabric Test:

The fabric should be smooth all across the body. If there is sagging behind the knee or looseness in the waistband, try going a size down. If the fabric is looking sheer or if there are marks on your skin after taking them off, try going a size up.

8 Qualities To Look For

Moisture Wicking:

Sweat and water vapor form as a result of working out. Fabric with moisture wicking abilities will pull the sweat away from the body helping to reduce dampness, stickiness and discomfort.

Breathability:

Good air circulation reduce the heat emitted during workout. Having breathable leggings will help prevent overheating by allowing air to circulate in and around the fabric.

Quick Dry:

Quick dry is an important feature especially for extending periods of exercise. Once a fabric has absorbed moisture it can leave you feeling damp and weighed down. The quick dry feature allows for the fabric to release moisture and dry faster optimize the length and comfort of your workout.

Fabric Recovery:

Fabrics with good recovery can return to its original shape after being stretched, worn, and washed. This lengthens the lifespan and improves durability.

4-Way Stretch:

With 4-way stretch, the leggings will be able to move and stretch with your body. The fabric will act like a second so you never have to be restricted by your clothing.

Color Fastness:

Fabrics with high color fastness lowers the chances of colours transferring to another item and your skin while you sweat or in the wash. It will help keep your leggings looking new for longer periods of time

Abrasion Resistant:

With gym, yoga and any other physical activities, there are bound to be rubbing and abrasion against mat or equipment. Abrasion resistant provides peace of mind and lengthen lifespan of the leggings.

Comfort:

The most important factor to consider is your personal comfort. Ensure there are no signs of discomfort that can return during your workouts such as tightness, rubbing, or irritation.
